What does love look like? What does fear look look?
Sure, we all have our ideas of what an image representing love or fear might look like. If I asked you to describe or paint it, you would come up with a compelling variety of color, light and shadow. But, what do people in general think love looks like? The idea here is that there is one image that most looks like love. Or most looks like fear. Or most looks like a sunset. There is one 'best' image for each of these ideas. One that most people would recognize as trying to express the given topic. How can we figure out what that image is? Traditionally, an artist or painter might create an image that evokes a certain emotion, or a complex mixture of feelings and ideas. But is there a way to tap our collective consciousness and try to find these images directly? That is the challenge of this site.
